Kyle Westbrook is a partner at Reichardt Noce & Young LLC and has a broad range of litigation and outside general counsel experience.  In litigation, he primarily focuses on defending primary and secondary schools, colleges, transportation and manufacturing companies, nursing homes, insurers, governmental entities, and other businesses in various matters in Missouri and Illinois, including claims for civil rights violations, discrimination in employment and places of public accommodation, premises liability, vehicular accidents, and other claims for wrongful death and/or catastrophic injuries.  Kyle’s business litigation experience includes representing Homeowners Associations and Subdivision Trustees in real estate, trust, and indenture-related litigation.

He is involved in all phases of litigation starting at the outset handling pre-suit claims, investigating and responding to administrative charges and complaints, and conducting initial accident investigations.  As these various claims evolve and proceed into the courts, Kyle has extensive experience in preparing and arguing pre-trial and dispositive motions, conducting fact and expert witness depositions, and defending his clients through trial and appeal, if necessary.   Kyle takes pride in setting and executing strategies in achieving the most favorable outcomes for his clients in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

In his outside general counsel practice, Kyle advises and guides Missouri and Illinois educational institutions and other local employers through various human resources, employee, and student-related legal issues in complying with federal and state law.  This includes drafting and editing personnel handbooks; conducting investigations into internal discrimination and retaliation complaints; and counseling on Title VII, ADA, Section 504, Title IX, FMLA, parental leave, and wage and hour compliance.  Kyle also advises HOA’s and Subdivision Trustees in interpreting and complying with their indentures, amending their indentures, and advising on other residential real estate issues that arise.  Finally, Kyle has extensive experience in preparing estate plans for local individuals and families, as well as handling simple probate matters in eastern Missouri and southern Illinois.

Kyle is licensed to practice law in both Illinois and Missouri state courts, the Eastern District of Missouri and Southern District of Illinois’ federal district courts, and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.  He graduated from the University of Missouri with a Business/Finance bachelor’s degree in 2010 and received his J.D. from St. Louis University School of Law in 2013.  Since then, he has been recognized as a Rising Star in civil litigation by Super Lawyers Magazine in 2019, 2022, 2023, and 2024.  He grew up in St. Louis with a large soccer family and currently lives in Webster Groves with his wife and three young children.
